Speaking in the studios of Sky Sport Italia, journalist Emanuele Baiocchini discussed AC Milan on the eve of the Italian Super Cup final against Inter, touching on the club's current and future transfer market plans:
"The Rossoneri management has this strategy in mind: to renew Theo Hernandez's contract, then assess next summer, should a significant offer arrive for Theo Hernandez, whether to accept it or not, and whether it would also suit the player. Meanwhile, they want to sign a player who can develop as Theo Hernandez's understudy."

"This player, Kabar, is 18 years old, very talented, already playing for Germany's U20 youth teams, and has even debuted for Borussia Dortmund's first team. There’s a lot of positive buzz around him. Given his unique contractual situation, which could allow Milan to sign him at a discounted price next summer, I believe the club is seriously considering a move for June. However, they might still make an attempt this January."
On AC Milan's Alex Jimenez, Baiocchini said:
"Be aware that Jimenez's contract includes a buy-back clause for Real Madrid. So, if he has an excellent season, Milan won’t have much leverage to keep him."
