Carlo Pellegatti, speaking on Maracanà in the afternoon segment of TMW Radio, discussed Milan's Supercoppa victory:
"Regarding consistency in the league, the gap in points with the others is there, but in reality, in terms of squad depth, there's not such a big difference. In a single match, this team can compete. Now there's no use in feeling sorry for ourselves. A trophy has been won, and that's a good thing. Can Conceição bring value back to this squad? I heard good things about him eight years ago when he saved Nantes. Then he went to Porto, and last summer, when people were talking about him to me, I said no because, honestly, I didn’t like that style of play. But I now believe he’s the right coach for this historical phase of Milan."
Pellegatti continued to talk about Sergio Conceicao:
"If you win while showing your flaws, you can work on them better. I don’t rule out the possibility that these are physiological issues, but now it’s about bringing in players who can minimize them. This team needs to be tightened up a bit more. Champions League qualification now? Yes, because it’s not far off. They could be just four points behind Lazio with their games in hand, but of course, you also need help from others."
