The well-known Italian journalist and life-long AC Milan fan, Carlo Pellegatti, has spoken about some January transfer market moves.
Here's what he had to say about Juventus first to Scommesse.io
"Zirkzee is not easy, but he could reignite the club’s ambitions. Cristiano Giuntoli has been laying the groundwork in recent weeks and seems ready to reap the rewards. The absolute priorities are two defenders, one on loan and the other a permanent signing. Having lost their top target, Fikayo Tomori, who is staying in Milan, Juventus has already identified alternatives. Negotiations with Barcelona for the loan of Ronald Araújo, a 1999-born Uruguayan center-back with a right foot and solid international experience, seem well-advanced."
Milan target Morten Frendrup linked with Atalanta?
"Currently second in the standings with a game in hand, Atalanta’s management is looking to strengthen the midfield, especially after loaning out Ben Godfrey to Ipswich. One name on their list is Genoa’s Danish midfielder Morten Frendrup, who has already been linked to Inter and Milan."
Pellegatti added:
"Frendrup’s arrival would fill key gaps while bolstering Atalanta’s intensity and quality in midfield. The 22-year-old would not only address immediate needs but also reinforce the team’s aspirations for a sensational Serie A title and European competition."
AC Milan, a leap in quality with Dani Olmo?
"The intentions of the Rossoneri's American ownership and the Via Aldo Rossi executives remain difficult to decipher. However, they are closely monitoring Dani Olmo’s complicated situation. Some suggest the Rossoneri club in pole position should Barcelona encounter further difficulties, with a potential six-month loan deal on the table. Milan is also tracking Monza’s French midfielder Warren Bondo, who could be added to the Champions League roster without issue, given his under-22 status. Bondo would be an ideal alternative to Fofana. However, the pressing question remains: will Milan invest €10–15 million in the January market?"
What about Marcus Rashford?
"The prospects of landing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United or Kolo Muani from PSG seem improbable, though Olmo could inject creativity and dynamism into Milan’s attacking midfield, providing a significant upgrade in transitions. Bondo would offer rotational depth, while Rashford or Muani could bring the unpredictability needed up front."
