An Englishman will strengthen AC Milan in this January transfer window. Whether it will be Marcus Rashford or Kyle Walker will soon become clear.
The Rossoneri club is expected to contact Manchester United between today and tomorrow to assess how much they can contribute to covering Rashford's wages, while Manchester City seems inclined to let their captain leave on a free transfer, as he is eager to experience a foreign adventure, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Due to the regulation regarding non-EU players born in England, the Italian club can register only one of them.
Until a few days ago, Rashford appeared to be the top priority to reinforce the attack with a versatile talent.
Following a late-night summit on Saturday between the management and coach Sérgio Conceição at San Siro, however, deliberations are underway. The head-to-head battle between the two English players remains wide open.
Different options for AC Milan
The two players clearly have different roles, but the parameters and terms of the potential deals also vary significantly. The former Porto manager, who considers the squad already strong and is focused on maximizing its potential, will evaluate in the coming days which player—a City defender or a United forward—better suits his tactical setup. Meanwhile, the management will work on clarifying the specifics of both deals, both stemming from the shared desire of the two players to leave Manchester.
Talks for Rashford
Marcus Rashford is now effectively isolated at Manchester United. Yesterday, he was not even included in the squad for the FA Cup match, which the Red Devils won on penalties against Arsenal.
United coach Amorim made his stance clear: “Will he play for United again? I don’t know. We’ll see,” and the management fully supports him. Certain behaviors and attitudes from Rashford, who rose through United's academy, have not been well received.

The English forward's representatives have been fielding interest from several clubs. For now, Saudi Arabian teams are not among the potential destinations, despite United’s preference for such an outcome, as it would allow them to sell the player outright rather than loan him with a partial wage contribution. This would also eliminate the risk of Rashford returning next summer and spare United from paying his €13.5 million net salary until 2028.
Rashford is reportedly very interested in joining Milan and has communicated this to Ibrahimović, Furlani, and Moncada. On Saturday, Zlatan even told Sky and DAZN: “When I played with him at Manchester, he was incredibly strong. I think he can cover all attacking roles and make a real difference.” Having Rashford would give Conceição a true offensive wildcard.
The issue lies in Rashford’s agent and brother, who have so far hesitated, expressing interest in Milan but leaving the door open for other intriguing offers (Tottenham, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund have also made inquiries).
