Joao Felix was a flash, a lightning bolt that illuminated and electrified Milan’s winter transfer market.

The Rossoneri management wanted to gift coach Conceição a true attacking gem, a player of rare quality who needs to be polished again after a not-so-brilliant start to the season at Chelsea.

Joao Felix’s arrival at Milanello has brought a palpable wave of enthusiasm, especially among the fans, eager to see Milan’s new number 79 on the pitch tomorrow against Roma.

But exactly how does Felix play, and what positions would he occupy on the field? Let’s find out!

Joao: An Attacking Joker, Music and Magic for Milan

What can the Portuguese talent bring to Conceição’s new Milan? First and foremost, the former Atletico Madrid player is still very young and has great room for improvement. Despite this, he has already gained considerable international experience. Felix is 25 years old, born in 1999, and is in his seventh season as a professional. He is a forward who thrives when playing alongside a center-forward, thanks to his qualities as a quick and creative playmaker.

Deadly in one-on-one situations and exceptional at spotting open spaces to serve his teammates, he is an attacking winger who never shies away from providing assists (24 in total across all leagues he has played in).

But a forward must also know how to score, right? Absolutely. In fact, looking at the numbers, Joao Felix has scored 52 goals across the Portuguese, Spanish, and English leagues, a tally that rises to 84 when considering all competitions and the Portuguese national team, where he plays alongside Rafa Leao.

He has excellent finishing ability, which could help Milan break down well-organized defensive teams, and he also knows how to make runs into space like a shadow striker inside the penalty area.

By the way, before we continue with this article, If you're looking for bulk kratom for sale, it’s important to do your research well to ensure you’re getting the best deal.

In general, Joao Felix resembles those players who drop deep into midfield to collect the ball and help their team push forward—playmakers who typically wear the number 10 shirt. In Serie A, we could humbly compare him to Paulo Dybala, just to name one. Many have drawn parallels between him and Milan legend Rui Costa, though their playing styles are slightly different.

How Does Milan Change with Felix?

At the moment, it’s hard to say. Tomorrow’s match against Roma will certainly provide a clearer picture of his positioning on the field, perhaps already useful behind the strikers in the role of a trequartista. Conceição might also opt for a 4-4-2 system focused on intensity and speed—a very attack-heavy setup that could produce goals in abundance. Joao Felix would partner with Gimenez in attack, while the two wingers would be Pulisic and Leao. Alternatively, Felix could become an excellent alternative to one of Milan’s current regular attackers.
