The deal between Milan and Monza for Francesco Camarda’s transfer to the Biancorossi was practically done, a loan for 18 months with no purchase option.
The agreement was reached between the two CEOs, Adriano Galliani and Giorgio Furlani, with the assist from agent Beppe Riso. However, the deal collapsed due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as revealed by Galliani himself:
"My friend Ibra, after we had already reached an agreement, with great affection and sympathy, he still calls me 'boss', told me that for the boy's development, it was better for him to stay at Milan. I couldn’t do anything but accept it."

What is Zlatan Ibrahimovic's vision for Francesco Camarda?
A surprising decision, but one that also has its logic. According to Ibrahimovic, it's certainly better for Camarda to continue learning from top players while staying at home rather than getting playing time in a team with much less ambitions.
Francesco accepted it willingly and will now work even harder to always be ready. A carefully planned strategy, just consider that Kevin Zeroli moved to Monza on a dry loan without any issues. Camarda, on the other hand, is under the protective wing of Zlatan.
It goes without saying that Gimenez will have the honour and responsibility of leading Milan’s attack now. Behind him? Camarda, according to Ibrahimovic’s philosophy:
"He has great quality and a hunger for goals. He reminds me of Camarda, he has a strong desire to score," as relayed via Calciomercato.com.
A surprising comparison, given that Santi Gimenez was born in 2001, while Francesco is from 2008. But this comparison also seems to be the manifesto of Milan’s new approach, greater consideration and trust in young talents. Even more than Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic, to the point where Camarda could take on the role of Gimenez's backup.
