Geoffrey Moncada, AC Milan's sporting director, spoke to DAZN ahead of the Bologna-Milan match.
Here are his statements:
What kind of game is it today?
"Another final. We got the first one wrong against Torino. We're playing against a strong team. This match is crucial for us in the race for fourth place. It will be a real battle."

What do you feel you can contribute from now until the end of the season? How has your role changed now that you're the sporting director?
"I think being positive is important right now. We know we're going through a difficult moment. There are still many games left, and I know the players very well—I know they can do even more. The team has significant room for growth. I'm here every day with the staff and the coach to help out. How is it different from being Chief Scout? It's completely different, especially mentally."
On contract renewals, Moncada said:
"The renewals are very positive. We've worked well, thanks to the club, and we've done everything to extend contracts with the players. The important thing is to have control over the players—we can never afford to lose them on a free transfer. We work hard, and it seems to me that the players are very happy to stay with us. Pulisic and Reijnders? We're very close."
Maignan and Theo’s contracts expire in 2026...
"The same principle applies to them—it’s important."
