Milan is searching for a sporting director, and in these days, the club's CEO, Giorgio Furlani, will be receiving many candidates for the role before choosing—hopefully—the best one: rumors place Fabio Paratici, formerly of Juventus and Tottenham, in pole position for the job.
Paratici, of course, is not the only potential sporting director on Furlani’s list to be heard. Tony D'Amico (met yesterday, formerly of Hellas Verona, now at Atalanta) is also among the names, as well as foreign profiles like Markus Krösche (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Thiago Scuro (Monaco), as relayed via PianetaMilan.it.
In particular, in these hours, La Gazzetta dello Sport has strongly pushed Paratici’s name as Milan’s next sporting director. However, sports journalist Nicolò Schira, in a post published this morning on his official account of the popular social network 'X,' has in fact reported a slowdown from the Rossoneri regarding the executive from Piacenza.
"The name of Fabio Paratici, despite the media hype of recent days, does not fully convince Milan due to the disqualification related to capital gains (which expires on June 20) and the fact that he would not be able to be operational immediately. For RedBird, reputation is not a secondary matter at all," commented Schira. Will Furlani turn to another profile? We will find out soon.
