Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, made these statements about Milan:

On Guardiola being linked to the Rossoneri:
"That is something I deny. It seems like an absolutely baseless name. There has never been anything, and there will not be anything, between Milan and Guardiola."
On the new sporting director:
"It was being said that Paratici would become the new sporting director of Milan and that only the official announcement was missing. But that is not the case — it wasn’t done or finalized. The parties were not even close to reaching a conclusion. New contacts are expected, and Paratici has a very delicate personal legal situation."
Moretto continued to talk about Milan's situation:
"Milan obviously knew that. What I know is that Milan will continue their talks to choose the new sporting director. The Paratici situation is not as it had been portrayed. Milan wants to find the right profile to insert into the organizational chart, which will not change — in the sense that Moncada has a contract until 2026 and will remain at Milan, just as Furlani will continue to act as CEO. From the choice of the sporting director, all the other decisions will follow — first and foremost, that of the coach."
