It seemed done, also because the trip to London by CEO Giorgio Furlani had borne fruit. In fact, Milan had reached a verbal agreement with Fabio Paratici, former executive of Juventus and Tottenham, as well as the main candidate for the role of sporting director of the Rossoneri starting from next July 21st, the date his suspension ends.

This agreement simply needed to be formalised, but during the drafting of the contract, some doubts arose which led the Rossoneri club to change their mind. The club managers, then, completely have reopened the casting.
On this matter, the daily Turin-based newspaper, Tuttosport in this morning's print edition, in fact headlined this morning in the lower section of its front page:
"Milan makes a U-turn. Paratici stopped!"
