The casting continues at the Rossoneri’s home to find the new sporting director. After the meeting in Rome with CEO Giorgio Furlani, the big favorite now seems to be Igli Tare, currently without a team, but a final decision has not yet been made. This was reported this morning by Corriere della Sera, which explains that at Casa Milan these are hours of reflection. There will also be other interviews, not only with the former Lazio man, which is why Atalanta's Tony D’Amico remains on the club's list, as relayed via Milan News.

On April 2, before the Coppa Italia match between Milan and Inter, CEO Furlani had taken stock of the situation on Mediaset regarding the new sporting director:
“First of all, we are not happy with the sporting results of this season. The sporting results are the core of the club, we are working for the upcoming season to have better results. Within this activity, there are various strands, various preparations that we are doing. We have not yet closed or decided with anyone, I’m not commenting on roles or individuals, but we are preparing ourselves because we want to improve the sporting side."
Milan CEO, Furlani, added:
"We haven’t had a traditional sporting director in the last two seasons, we split the role among various people in the club. Now what we are evaluating — decisions haven’t been made yet — is whether to appoint a more traditional sporting director and reconsolidate those roles into one person. However, there will still be a working group, and we will work together with the sole objective of achieving success on the pitch.”
