Currently in the squad are Santiago Gimenez, Tammy Abraham, and Luka Jovic. While the first is certain to stay, the futures of the other two remain quite uncertain for different reasons: the Englishman is on a dry loan from Roma, so the Rossoneri will need to speak with the Giallorossi at the end of the season and begin a new negotiation if they want to keep him. As for the Serbian, his contract is set to expire, and in this case as well, discussions between the parties will need to take place in the coming weeks.

As reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s attack will start again from Gimenez, despite the fact that he is currently not Sergio Conceição’s first choice, having been left on the bench in recent matches. However, Milan firmly believes in him for the future, especially because they invested €28.5 million plus bonuses to sign him from Feyenoord just a few months ago. The Mexican will have the chance to reset in the summer, recover from the minor physical issues that have plagued him since arriving at Milanello, work with the Rossoneri squad from day one, and then show his full value starting next season.

Luka Jovic, Tammy Abraham, and Lorenzo Lucca?

While Gimenez is a lock, the rest of the department will depend on circumstances and how things unfold. Given his recent performances and goals, Jovic’s stock is rising, and he could soon renew his contract, which expires on June 30. The Serbian has a particular agreement with Milan: his deal can be extended year by year until 2028 through a club option. However, the player would prefer at least a two-year extension. The situation regarding Abraham also remains to be clarified. He would be happy to stay at Milan, but work will be needed to reach an agreement with Roma (Alexis Saelemaekers is also in play, as he is currently on a dry loan to the Giallorossi). If one of these two situations doesn’t go through, then Milan will have to return to the transfer market, with Lorenzo Lucca being the first name on the list. He has long been liked by the club managers, although not at the €35 million price tag set by Udinese.
