Sporting director Walter Sabatini spoke during the program Diretta Stadio on 7Gold to talk about Milan:
"The problem at Milan regarding the sporting director concerns the American funds and those who are invading the field. They do not see the figure of the sporting director within their organization. Does Milan want to move forward like this? It could be positive — some results have been achieved."
On the topic of the sporting director:
"Igli Tare has done very well and is up to the task. Tony D'Amico is very well-prepared, but I have doubts that he would want to leave Atalanta; they bring in international players of a high level. If Allegri could be the right man? He is always the right man — he already won with Milan and also at Juventus, so I don't think he is a man of pure tactics, but rather fits a specific choice. If Milan were to make that choice, they certainly would not be making a mistake."
On Milan's organizational confusion, Sabatini said:
"Losing two directors like Maldini and Massara involved risks for Milan, but Milan can still save their season. However, let's not take Bologna for granted, because today they play the best football possible in Italy. I want to stress again: with the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa, and qualification for Europe achieved, this is not a season to be dismissed."
