The Spaniard’s name has been linked to Roma:
“I cannot speak about Roma’s choices. Fabregas is a man very focused on the project. Some time ago, we signed a four-year contract, and there are still three years left. We are planning for the future: this does not exclude anything but certainly makes me hopeful.”

“I think he has found the perfect environment. Our will is clear, we depend on Real Madrid’s buy-back clause. The talks are excellent, the relations are very good, also thanks to the good work we have done with Nico. We feel quite confident that Nico can stay. Naturally, Cesc’s own stay would be a guarantee of the project’s evolution.”
