After Roma-Milan, the Rossoneri midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek spoke to journalists in the press conference.
Milan will not play in Europe next year: what is your analysis?
"It's really a difficult situation for us, I know, and it makes us sad. It was an opportunity to finish the season with a win and go to Europe. We are certainly sad about the result. It has been a difficult season for the team, from several points of view."
More problems on or off the pitch?
"Sometimes there are tough moments, and in general they happen for different reasons. Individual ones and not only. I also had problems. I had a bad season both physically and mentally."
Let's talk about next season. How would you like it to be? Loftus-Cheek answered:
"Honestly, I think this team has great potential. Now it’s about showing that we are strong mentally and continuing to believe. I truly believe this group can achieve great things. It was a tough season, but we still managed to win a trophy and come close to a second, despite the difficult moment. Next season will be a completely new one: we leave all of this behind, we work hard in the training camp, we focus on being at our best physically and mentally, and everything can change. We certainly won’t carry the disappointments of this year into the next season."
