Didier Deschamps spoke at a press conference after announcing the squad list for the Nations League Final Four. The French head coach responded somewhat annoyed to the question about who he will support in the Champions League final on May 31:
"Are you serious? You’ll have to ask someone at the Vieux Port! I’m a coach, and there’s a French team, even if I have Marseille roots… Obviously, even though I have two players involved with Inter (Pavard and Thuram), a PSG win would be the best thing for French football."

On Pierre Kalulu’s call-up:
“It’s his first time, like Rayan Cherki. Kalulu is having an excellent season with Juventus. He also did very well with Milan. He has the ability to play in two roles: at Juventus, he plays more in a back three, but he can also play as a right-back. We’ve been following him for a while, his call-up is more or less related to the absences in defense, but I also have in mind the idea of shaking things up, of learning lessons for myself, for the staff, also with future deadlines in mind. Then it’ll be up to them to provide confirmation, there’s always a lot of competition. After the injury, which really held him back and slowed him down, he has found a very good level.”
For context, Pierre Kalulu is currently on loan at Juventus from AC Milan...
It seems unlikely, however, that he returns to the Rossoneri club at the end of the season as the Bianconeri club management are happy with him and should sign him for a fee reportedly around 14 million euros.
