Theo Hernandez is ready to say goodbye to Milan: the Rossoneri club has in fact reached an agreement with Al-Hilal for the Frenchman’s transfer to Saudi Arabia. A €30 million deal, an amount deemed fair by the club, which in recent days had made it clear to the Saudis that the initial approaches at 20 million euros were not satisfactory.

Approval from Theo expected soon?

This was reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which explains that the only thing missing to finalize the deal is the definitive go-ahead from Theo Hernandez, expected during the course of the day. Al-Hilal’s offer to the player is, unsurprisingly, monstrous: €18 million net per season. In recent days, the Frenchman had shown the desire to remain on standby in order to see if any offers would come from Europe, but in the last few hours there’s been an acceleration. In Riyadh, moreover, the Frenchman could find Simone Inzaghi on the bench—after so many years as opponents—since the sky-blue club is also strongly pursuing him, and he too is deciding whether or not to accept the offer from the Arab club.

Who could replace Theo Hernandez?

After six years, 262 appearances and a remarkable 34 goals, Theo Hernandez is therefore about to part ways with Milan, which will then need to find a significant replacement, given we’re talking about a cornerstone of the Rossoneri.

At the moment, four names are on the Milan directors’ list: Udogie from Tottenham, Junior Firpo from Leeds, Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge, and Andrea Cambiaso—whom Massimiliano Allegri knows very well, as the two have already worked together during their time at Juventus.
