With the departure of Tijjani Reijnders—who is just waiting to be officially announced by Manchester City after completing his medical examinations scheduled for Sunday—Milan will have to act decisively in midfield to strengthen a department that, logically, won't be adequately reinforced by the arrival of the experienced yet still "great" Luka Modric alone. At least one or two more signings will be needed to make the midfield competitive, even under Allegri’s leadership.

This morning, QS reports on three targets on Milan’s table, all previously mentioned and on whom the club could decide to make a move. The headline reads:
“Milan, top targets for midfield: Rabiot, Guendouzi, and Ricci.”
The first is a favorite of Max Allegri and is set to become a free agent next year with Marseille. The second wants to play in European competitions, and the third has long been on the Rossoneri’s radar. There are also other names further down the list: from Nicolussi Caviglia to Onyedika, and Rovella.
