The Milan-Como match next February could seriously be played in Australia. This was confirmed by Ezio Simonelli, the president of Serie A, who said he was open to the possibility:
"We have requested authorization from the relevant federations, starting with FIFA, but I believe I can say that it will happen, even though it is not official yet."
Adding further weight to the words of the head of the League is Tuttosport, which ran the headline: “Confirmed: Milan-Como in February to be played in Australia,” specifically in Perth—a city that hosted a friendly last summer, also featuring the Rossoneri.
