Yesterday officially marked the start of the 2025/26 season for the new Milan led by Massimiliano Allegri. The first physical tests were carried out on the pitch and in the gym for a small group of players, closely followed by the Rossoneri coach, who—twelve years after his last time—walked through the gates of Milanello shortly after 8 a.m. to kick off this new chapter.
However, the first to arrive wasn’t Massimiliano Allegri, but rather Matteo Gabbia, who once again showed his commitment to the shirt and the Rossoneri cause. In fact, he had already proven this by giving up his honeymoon to be immediately available for preseason training.
Full Squad Incoming
Today, another group of players will arrive at Milanello to undergo the same tests their teammates completed 24 hours earlier. By tomorrow evening, the entire squad is expected to be in the training camp by midnight, in order to be ready for the official preseason gathering on Monday, July 7.
Between First Times and Early Returns
After signing his contract on Thursday, it was Samuele Ricci’s first time at Milanello as a Milan player. According to Corriere dello Sport, the former Torino midfielder was thrilled to visit Milanello’s facilities, where he not only met his new teammates but also had a conversation with head coach Massimiliano Allegri and sporting director Igli Tare.
The main news of the day, however, comes from Malick Thiaw, whose return was scheduled for today. Instead, the German defender decided to show up at Milanello 24 hours early—a gesture appreciated by both the management and Allegri. Who knows, perhaps this eagerness to get to work and prove himself might change the club’s plans in the transfer market.
