"Full-backs for Milan: Fran Garcia emerges. If Real opens the door..."
This is the headline in Tuttosport this morning, which explains that the club based on Via Aldo Rossi is also looking for a left-back on the transfer market, and one name the Rossoneri really like is Fran Garcia of Real Madrid.
So far, there have been no contacts between the two clubs, but the arrival of Carreras from Benfica to Los Blancos will inevitably reduce Fran Garcia’s playing time, and therefore the scenario could change in the coming weeks.
The other names that have emerged in recent days—Gutierrez from Girona, Balde from Nice, and Locko from Brest—are currently less likely options.
In addition to the left flank, the Rossoneri are also looking for reinforcements on the right side of defense: Guéla Doué, a Strasbourg player and brother of PSG star Desiré Doué, is highly appreciated, but Milan’s offer of €18 million is considered too low by the French club. The Marc Pubill track remains alive as well—he is a right-back from Almeria.
