Igli Tare spoke to La Gazzetta about the summer’s major negotiation, clarifying the relationship with the Belgian club (not simple, but still good) and Milan’s stance on Ardon Jashari’s value. Tare is the man who believed in Jashari more than anyone else as a major transfer target, the player whose quality could transform Milan’s midfield. But every negotiation has its natural limit, and this one now seems to have reached a decisive point.
Milan initially made an offer of €32.5 million plus €2 million in bonuses, considered appropriate as it surpassed, at least in the fixed part, the fee Milan paid three years ago for Charles De Ketelaere. What Tare is suggesting, without revealing exact figures, is that the club made a final offer, one million higher than the previous: €33.5 million plus bonuses, bringing the total to over €35 million. And now? Now we’re at the decisive moment. In the coming days, it will become clear whether Brugge will accept Milan’s proposal or if the Rossoneri will have to move on. A decision could come between today and Tuesday, even though Brugge play their first league match today at 6:30 PM against Genk.
Ardon: Milan or nothing
Jashari won’t be there. He has trained alone all summer, didn’t take part in the team’s mini-tour in London, and even after returning, chose to stay away from the group. Apart from a couple of sessions with the squad, he has always trained individually and was never called up for matches. As he watches his teammates face Genk, one thought will be running through his mind; a thought that has been there since the beginning of the summer: the only destination he will accept is Milan. That’s why he has turned down offers from several English clubs. He no longer wants to play for Brugge.
