This latest AC Milan offer to sign Jashari amounts to €33.5 million plus bonuses, with €2 million in easily attainable add-ons, in effect, the guaranteed fixed portion reaches €35.5 million.
Club Brugge, who were in action yesterday for their league opener against Genk, a comeback 2–1 win, have not yet issued an official response. However, Belgian journalists close to the club have indicated that not only is the offer still seen as insufficient, but there is also some annoyance at Tare’s public remarks.
Club Brugge do not want to be pressured and, above all, are not in a hurry. Their hope remains to trigger an auction with Premier League clubs.
Milan, for their part, along with Jashari and his entourage, are not planning to give up or be discouraged by Brugge’s tactics. The club intends to continue pushing, leaning on the midfielder’s clear desire, and to persevere in the pursuit of what is viewed as the primary target for the midfield, identified by Tare and fully approved by Allegri.
Jashari, who in the coming days will be in Macedonia for his brother’s wedding, is proving to be a valuable ally. He has rejected all other Premier League offers and continues to make it clear to Brugge that his will is firm and singular: he wants to wear the Milan shirt.
