Today at the press conference, alongside coach Massimiliano Allegri, AC Milan’s number 10, Rafael Leao, also spoke, previewing the match that will be played tomorrow at 12:20 PM live on Milan TV. His comments were reported by the colleagues at Gazzetta.it.
What do you expect from tomorrow’s match?
"I expect a good match against a good team. The coach has explained how to attack and defend against them, but the most important thing is to be ready for the start of the season. We have to prepare well, whether it’s 45 or 90 minutes, and try to win, but the goal is to be ready for the beginning of the league. We’ll give it our all and try to beat Perth Glory."
How much does the support from Milan’s Australian fans motivate you? Leao said:
"There are really a lot of them, and you can feel their warmth. It’s very special for us to play in these conditions. We’re very happy to have received such a welcome and we’ll try to repay the fans with a great performance against Perth."
What has Massimiliano Allegri brought to the team? Leao replied:
"We have a coach with experience who has already won here at Milan. We’re a young group, with some more experienced players who have been here a while. We’re building the team with the right spirit, which helps even when we’re not playing well. Compared to the past, everything has changed. I feel that this year Milan will be a real team. We have important players who can make the difference, but above all there will be a great team spirit."
Would you like to come back to Perth in February for Milan–Como?
"It’s not official yet, so I can’t say much, but if we were to play here again, it would be great because we’d have so many fans and it would be a beautiful experience."
