According to David Ornstein, a well-known journalist for The Athletic, Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement to sign Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig. The German club has accepted a big offer of 82.5 million euros plus 2.5 million euros in bonuses from Newcastle, but the Slovenian striker prefers the Red Devils. There is still no agreement between the two clubs, but the negotiations are nearing a conclusion.
If United were indeed to sign Šeško, the situation surrounding Rasmus Højlund would then need to be clarified. According to Milan News, AC Milan are genuinely interested in the Danish forward and, in the coming days, will assess whether they can bring him in on a loan deal with an option to buy. Another attacking option that should always be kept in mind is Juventus' Dušan Vlahović.
