With the conclusion of the Ardon Jashari saga, who as of yesterday is officially a new Milan player, another transfer move is close to being finalized, this time in defense: the arrival of another Swiss player is reportedly imminent, namely Zachary Athekame, right-back for Young Boys. An agreement is expected to be reached for a fee of around 8–9 million euros. After that, all efforts will be focused on the attack and finding a new number 9 to gift to Max Allegri.

Dusan Vlahovic is a hot name for AC Milan...
This was reported this morning by Corriere della Sera, which states that the hottest name remains Dusan Vlahovic, the striker set to leave Juventus. However, it is a complex deal that could only unlock in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Will Milan have the patience to wait until the end of August?
For this reason, the Milan management is not losing sight of the alternatives. As of today, the most credible plan B is Rasmus Højlund, forward for Manchester United.
The English club is close to completing the signing of Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig for 85 million euros, meaning the Danish striker is likely to become surplus to requirements. The former Atalanta man could therefore represent an interesting market opportunity for the Rossoneri, but only under certain conditions: United would have to agree to a loan deal with a buy option. For now, the Red Devils do not seem inclined to accept this formula. We’ll see if the situation changes between now and September 1st, when the summer transfer window closes.
