Marco Landucci, assistant coach and on the bench today due to Allegri’s suspension, spoke to Mediaset after Milan’s 2-0 win over Bari. Here are his words:
“It was a very good attitude. The team interpreted well what needed to be done. We missed a few too many chances in the first half, but the team played a serious game.”

Will Rafael Leao be available against Cremonese?
“I can’t tell you that. He came off because of this discomfort. We didn’t want to take too many risks. Let’s see in the coming days what the medical tests say.”
On the system, Landucci said:
“Depending on the situations. We needed to find Pulisic and Loftus behind their midfielders, and we had to switch play because their line was very narrow. By switching play, we could go one-on-one. They shot a few too many times and we don’t like that.”
Does Ruben Loftus-Cheek need to integrate better?
“He has extraordinary strength, he loves physical contact. We want him to make more forward runs, but in any case he played a good game: when he got going, it was difficult to stop him.”
On Santiago Gimenez. Has he been set aside since you’re looking for another striker?
“I can’t talk about the transfer market. For us, Santi is an important player. He arrived on August 4. He came in straight away, provided an assist, moved well. We’re happy with him and with the whole team. In every training session everyone has given 100%. A good atmosphere has been created at Milanello. We’ll enjoy tonight and from tomorrow we think about Cremonese. This team needs to focus on one game at a time and do the best possible.”
Have you already seen Massimiliano Allegri?
“I haven’t seen Allegri, he can’t enter the dressing room. Since I know him, I’d say he will be happy with some things and less so with others: we’ll talk about it during the week.”
