Ninety minutes on the bench against Cremonese for Yunus Musah are a clear sign that the American international is still considered on his way out of Milan. Napoli have definitively pulled out of the race despite Antonio Conte’s strong appreciation, as the costs are deemed too high: €30 million including bonuses is the Rossoneri’s asking price. And they have not budged from that figure despite the massive revenue from sales, which allowed RedBird to recover around €70–80 million, the same amount lost due to missing out on Champions League qualification. The former Valencia player’s future, however, could still be in Italy, with Atalanta, as pointed out by Calcio Mercato.

In the past week, Atalanta have been smart in maintaining constant contact both with Yunus Musah’s camp and with Milan, keeping the track alive. The deal, however, also depends on an outgoing move from Atalanta’s midfield: the main candidate is Marco Brescianini, who is being closely followed by Napoli. The Percassi family are ready to make around €25 million available to sporting director Tony D’Amico in order to bring Musah to Zingonia, while Milan remain firm at €30 million. The feeling is that the clubs could meet halfway, perhaps with bonuses included.
Fabbian the chosen one to replace Yunus Musah?
If Musah does leave, Milan would turn to the market for a new mezzala. In recent hours, Tare has initiated contacts both with Giovanni Fabbian’s agents and with Bologna: for now there is no openness to a sale in response to Milan’s €14 million offer, as Sartori is asking for €20–25 million to give the green light. The former Inter man remains a top target, albeit a difficult one. First, however, Musah’s sale to Atalanta must go through.
