Victor Boniface broke his silence after the failed transfer to Milan. The Nigerian newspaper Punch reported the words of the Bayer Leverkusen player during his live stream on Twitch last night, where the striker answered various questions about his move to Milan that fell through after he had already undergone medical examinations.
The Rossoneri, instead, turned their attention to Conrad Harder, who will arrive in Milan in the coming hours and will compete with Gimenez for the striker role.
During his live stream, Boniface commented on the failed transfer as follows:
"At a certain point I gave up. When others were playing football, I was just working to come back. After my second anterior cruciate ligament injury, I didn’t even want to play anymore because of the pain from the first one and what I went through during the second. At that time, I also lost my mother. Milan? The transfer failed due to my past injuries. I suffered two injuries to my right knee, and that’s something I’ve been carrying with me for a long time."
