Commenting on the matter is also the Italian outlet Sky Sport Italia, the negotiations for the Liverpool defender collapsed due to several issues that arose in the final moments concerning a decision made by Liverpool itself. The English club reportedly denied Milan permission to finalize the deal and arrange medical examinations in Italy with Joe Gomez, who was already ready to leave Liverpool for Milan.
