Hans Nicolussi Caviglia had an outstanding individual season in last Serie A, but relegation forced Venezia to let go of the midfielder, who then moved to Fiorentina.
As revealed by the Venezia sporting director Filippo Antonelli, Milan tried to sign him during the winter transfer window but never convinced the club. This was reported by SportMediaset.
“For him, in January we rejected an offer from Milan. Then Fiorentina came, playing in European competitions, and I don’t know how holding onto the player in front of these offers would have been wise. I tried. It was a decision driven by a choice that could have penalized both us and the player, so we accepted on our terms. Until the end we fought to get the maximum.“
