Giuseppe Marotta gave an interview to Sky Sport in which he also spoke about the San Siro issue and the vote to be held on Monday in the City Council regarding the sale to Milan and Inter. Here are the words of the Nerazzurri executive.
Marotta on San Siro and the upcoming City Council vote
"I believe and I hope that our politicians also understand that the city of Milan needs a new stadium, or at the very least Milan and Inter do. We would like to turn this need into an asset for the Municipality of Milan."
And if it’s not San Siro? Marotta... He replied:
"If that is not the case, we will have to meet this need ourselves. If you think about the fact that in the last ten years only two new stadiums have been built in Italy, compared to 53 around the world, this becomes a clear problem."
