Adrien Rabiot spoke to DAZN after Milan-Napoli 2-1. Here are the French midfielder’s statements:
How did you take control of the team so quickly?
“It’s true I know the coach and all the staff well, their way of working, so it was easier. I also know many teammates. I arrived with humility, working every day to set an example and drive the team. They follow me, and I’m happy with my debut because since I’ve been here we’ve won four games and conceded only one goal. There’s a strong spirit, we play with a positive mindset. Tonight was tough, but with spirit and mentality we got the win. I’m happy.”
How much do you enjoy defending in these games? What’s it like playing with Luka Modric?
“In these games, when you’re 10 against 11, you have to give more, that’s the mentality we need. Playing with Luka is easy, he knows how to control the game, even running 90 minutes at 40 years old. I don’t know how he does it. He enjoys football, he has fun on the pitch. He likes defending, attacking… Not just him, we have a lot of quality, including the young players. We also enjoy defending, everyone was good tonight, it wasn’t easy. But even with 10 men, we showed we can do very well.”

“I’m really happy to return to the Stadium. We’re top of the table, it will be a great game. I hope to win, of course, but I’m truly happy to be back in Italy in this league. It will be emotional for me, I spent five years there and had a great experience. Now I’m at Milan and I hope to win with Milan, it will be a really good match.”
