In his regular appearance on 'Viva El Futbol', Antonio Cassano once again lashed out at Rafa Leao, after the Portuguese forward missed two chances in Sunday night’s match against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
Here's what the former Real Madrid, Milan, and Inter forward had to say:
“Some people might think I have a problem with this guy. I don’t know him, I have no interest in knowing him, and I don’t care. I like football a lot, and I had the great privilege of playing with some unbelievably phenomenal players. When I see this guy who doesn’t know how to shoot with his right or left foot, people think I’m picking on him, but it’s the reality. He doesn’t know how to play with his back to goal, he has no footballing idea, he doesn’t know how to strike with either foot. He has pace, he kicks the ball forward and runs, that’s fine. What bothers me is that he thinks he’s a phenomenon. But the blame is not his, the blame is Milan’s for giving him 8 million."
Cassano added:
"If he were earning a million, a million and a half, I would see him like everyone else and say okay, fine. If I look at the last four or five years of Leao and the last four or five years of Orsolini, the truth is Orsolini could be making 8 million, and Leao wouldn’t even be worth 2. That’s a fact. Orsolini is not someone I’m crazy about, but these are facts. Numbers in hand, performances and consistency, not just goals and assists. And then those even more. One plays for Bologna and one plays for Milan alongside top-class players.”
