As every Wednesday, journalist Fabrizio Biasin shared his thoughts on current football topics in his editorial on Tuttomercatoweb.com. In today’s piece, he also discussed Rafa Leao and Serie A in Australia. His words below.
Fabrizio Biasin on Rafael Leao:
"Leao (here he is again) until last year was Milan’s untouchable player, and in fact, Milan had many problems. Now he is one of many resources in the team, and as a result, Milan has regained an important outlook. An individual cannot and should not be the solution, the group must provide that, as long as it has been built intelligently."
Biasin’s comment on Milan-Como in Perth, Australia:
"About Milan-Como in Australia, you’ve already read every possible opinion, including ours from seven days ago. In the meantime, Rabiot and Maignan have spoken, among others. And some people criticized them. 'They’re paid to play.' Good grief, have we really fallen this low? The issue is that too many think only in economic terms, and that’s fine, but they cannot expect full-backs and midfielders to do the same. Those players—Milan’s, but also Como’s—might be fighting for important goals in February, and they know perfectly well that a trip to the other side of the world can affect the next match, even slightly. The fact that players prioritize the pitch over club finances or the supposed 'we’re going to explore new markets' (yeah, right…) is normal and entirely reasonable. Trying to silence them, instead, is just very sad."
