In the summer, Milan sold Alex Jimenez to Bournemouth on loan with an option to buy, which becomes an obligation under certain conditions. Matteo Moretto, speaking in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, said the following about the Spanish player:
“Alex Jimenez, born in 2005, moved somewhat unexpectedly in the summer after a series of events, joining Bournemouth in the Premier League on a paid loan with an option to buy that can become mandatory if certain conditions are met. After a period of adaptation, Jimenez is now showing his full value in the Premier League. His last match against Nottingham was very positive, he displayed all his qualities and proved his worth on the field in a great duel with Ndoye, which the Spaniard won.
The figures for the transfer are around 20 million euros as a base fee plus bonuses, and I can say that Bournemouth are already working on a possible permanent deal. The club already plans to sign Jimenez outright, regardless of whether those conditions are met to make the purchase mandatory. Bournemouth, after several targeted investments and player development, intend to focus strongly on Jimenez, who remains within Real Madrid’s orbit, as the Spanish club hold a buy-back clause.
Be aware that Carvajal has just picked up what seems to be a serious injury, and Jimenez is a player monitored by Real Madrid. I’ll add that the senior national team is also following him closely and wants to give him a chance in the future.”
