The injury list is not over yet. The infirmary remains busy, with some players returning while others risk joining them.
What are the latest updates regarding Rafael Leao's physical condition?
Rafael Leao is now on the edge, having been substituted at halftime in the last match against Atalanta. Allegri immediately explained the decision as physical (“Rafa wasn’t feeling well during the week and couldn’t sprint anymore”), which led to further tests yesterday. The exams ruled out any muscle damage but confirmed hip inflammation, which naturally affects Leao and his playing style based on speed and bursts.

There is doubt about his availability for the Roma match. The short week after the midweek fixture leaves little time for full recovery. That does not mean Leao will give up. Encouraged by the medical results showing no serious damage, he will do everything to make it. The decision will come after the next two training sessions, as pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition.
Leao would normally be a guaranteed starter in the big match against Roma. Since returning to the starting eleven in Serie A, he has scored three goals in as many matches. Alongside him, with Pulisic ruled out and targeting a return for Parma, Loftus-Cheek and Nkunku are preparing. Both came on as substitutes against Atalanta. Loftus performed better, but Nkunku still has time to close the gap.
Santiago Gimenez is also dealing with a knock, having been forced off early in Bergamo due to an ankle hit. Fikayo Tomori finished the match but was not at his best. Tests ruled out knee issues for him too, but his condition is still uncertain because of muscle fatigue, and he will be assessed before the weekend.
Now the good news. Estupiñán and Jashari have returned to group training today, with the winger fully recovered. Ardon will still need time to regain rhythm and intensity. Rabiot is pushing for a quick return, and it is not impossible that Allegri will have two key players back in Parma: Pulisic and Adrien, though it remains difficult.
