The Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, in this morning's print edition writes that in the Scudetto race, Adrien Rabiot of Milan and David Neres of Napoli are key weapons for their coaches Allegri and Conte. They will face each other on December 18 in the Italian Super Cup semifinal.
Rabiot has been Allegri’s best signing. He stabilized the midfield and the whole team with strength, experience and leadership. With him on the pitch, Milan recorded five wins and one draw in six Serie A matches, and the defense allowed one goal. When he got injured, Milan slowed down, and his return matched the wins against Inter and Lazio.
Neres ended a 322-day drought and returned to form with runs and goals, scoring three in recent matches. The Brazilian overcame an injury and tactical issues and is now decisive in Napoli’s front three with Lang and Hojlund, ideal for Conte’s counterattacks. His form helped Conte, whose team had limited options in midfield after Anguissa’s injury.
