Matteo Moretto, a sports journalist specializing in the transfer market, spoke on his YouTube channel about Roma targeting Zirkzee.
The former Bayern and Bologna striker had also been strongly pursued by AC Milan two summers ago, but talks collapsed due to high agent commissions requested by the Dutchman. Today, Zirkzee stands as a new transfer target for Gasperini’s AS Roma.
Moretto said:
“Roma are pushing hard for Joshua Zirkzee. The profile Gasperini likes most. The top name to strengthen the attack. A striker previously followed by Milan, already familiar with Serie A. Sporting director Massara also confirmed this during the pre match of Celtic vs Roma. We do not know yet whether United will allow an immediate departure, but the Giallorossi will push hard in the January window.”
