Milan are second in the league with 32 points and one game in hand, despite a statistic that is almost unbelievable. Massimiliano Allegri has been able to field the starting attacking duo, Leao and Pulisic, for only 95 minutes this season: 17 minutes in the Coppa Italia against Bari in August, and 78 minutes in the derby against Inter at the end of November. This statistic will not change tomorrow either, as Leao is not called up for the San Siro match against Hellas Verona.
In other news, Massimiliano Allegri, speaking at this afternoon’s press conference, provided an update on his number 10: "Leao is not available for the match and will not be called up. He has this discomfort that prevents him from sprinting at his usual speed. I preferred to leave him at home because part-time players don’t work for us," as relayed via Milan News.
Rafael Leao's spell on the sidelines continues; he has been out since December 8, the day of Torino-Milan.
