Christopher Nkunku has been the biggest disappointment of Milan’s start to the season. Signed this summer for a hefty €37 million, the Frenchman has so far contributed only one goal and one assist for the Rossoneri, figures well below the expectations of the club’s management. For this reason, at Via Aldo Rossi they are said to be seriously reassessing Nkunku’s situation, which is becoming increasingly uncertain given the interest coming from Turkey.
Nkunku towards Istanbul: Milan set the price
Christopher Nkunku is attracting interest in Turkey, more precisely in Istanbul, where two of the city’s three major clubs are reportedly testing the waters. According to La Repubblica, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are both tracking the Frenchman, with the club coached by Domenico Tedesco even ahead of the one featuring Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi.
To sell the former Chelsea player in January, Milan are asking for €35 million, a figure that would still allow the Rossoneri to record a small capital gain after just six months of his contract.
Juventus also in the picture
In addition to the Turkish clubs, Juventus have also shown tentative interest in Christopher Nkunku, reportedly exploring a potential swap deal involving Federico Gatti, again according to La Repubblica. Not only that. There is also interest in the 28-year-old Frenchman from the Premier League, but for now Turkey appears to be the most plausible destination, as the only clubs offering “real money” are Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
