AC Milan and Cagliari will be the first Serie A Enilive teams to take the pitch in 2026, the new year. The Rossoneri will travel to Sardinia to face Cagliari at the Unipol Domus Arena on Friday 2 January at 20:45, in the early kickoff that will open the penultimate round of the first half of the season, matchday 18. To preview the game, colleagues from Tuttocagliari.net interviewed a former Rossoneri icon, both as a player and as a youth sector executive, Filippo Galli. Below is an excerpt from his comments.
Filippo Galli on Cagliari, Milan’s opponents:
“Against Cagliari, though, it will not be so simple. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Pisacane, whose post-match comments I have been enjoying a lot: he never looks for excuses and is always clear-headed in his analysis of his team’s performances. For this reason, I expect an aggressive and energetic Cagliari side, which, playing at home, will try to make the most of the home advantage. Another factor in the Sardinians’ favour is the presence of many Italian players in the squad.”
