There is a common thread running through the performance with which Milan, last night, came from behind to win 3–1 at the Sinigaglia against Cesc Fàbregas’ Como. Or rather, it would be more accurate to say there is a tricolour thread: blue, white and red. Three colours that represent 'les Bleus', France, which for several years has been a goldmine for Rossoneri success, even if the protagonists have changed. Mike Maignan remains, while Giroud and Theo have been replaced by Rabiot and Nkunku. These three players were the architects of Milan’s victory yesterday, writes Milan News.

Blue
Like the noble blue blood that runs through Adrien Rabiot’s veins, not by chance nicknamed “the Duke” back home. And like a high-born nobleman, his style of play is elegant yet powerful, leaving no escape in the areas he moves through. In Como, this was the French midfielder’s manifesto performance, and with it a clear explanation of why Massimiliano Allegri pushed so hard to bring him to Milanello. Devastating volume in midfield, blinding quality in the attacking third: perfect timing when making runs, a penalty won, a striker’s goal and a midfielder’s goal. Quite simply, a perfect match.
White
Like the night Mike Maignan forced Nico Paz and Da Cunha to endure above all. The finest save of the evening, in pure Maignan style, came when Como’s captain headed the ball from point-blank range, only to see it kept out in two touches within a split second. Yet the real, old-fashioned duel was the one the Milan goalkeeper fought with the young Spanish talent: at least three clear-cut chances, all denied by Magic Mike with save after save, each better than the last. Maignan is a goalkeeper by trade, and last night he carried out his job flawlessly, making a decisive contribution to Milan’s three points.
Red
Like the form Christopher Nkunku has been showing over the past three matches. It is true that yesterday the French forward’s goal came from a penalty, not struck perfectly but forced in by sheer power. Yet in the last three games he has scored four goals. The brace that finally got him going in the league against Verona in the final match of 2025, two games missed through injury, the goal that earned the Devil a point in Florence, and the goal that sparked the comeback yesterday in Como. In terms of impact on matches, Christopher Nkunku is currently one of Milan’s most in-form players. This is what was asked of him, and this is exactly what he is delivering.
