The Italian newspaper Tuttosport's front page this morning reads:
"Milan, €60 million coming from buy-outs. Champions treasure."
The newspaper explains that the Rossoneri could bring in around €60 million from the permanent transfers of several players who are currently out on loan. Next week, for example, Bournemouth are expected to exercise their option to buy Alex Jimenez. The agreed fee is €20 million, though half of that will go to Real Madrid, which holds a 50% sell-on clause.
At Bologna’s next point in the standings, the Emilia-Romagna club’s obligation to buy Tommaso Pobega will be triggered, bringing another €7 million into Milan’s coffers. However, it will be necessary to wait until the end of the season to see whether Genoa’s obligation to buy Lorenzo Colombo will come into effect: two conditions have already been met (at least five goals scored and at least 22 appearances made), and now only Genoa’s survival in the league is missing.
Finally, attention should be paid to Fulham’s next move, as at the end of the season they could decide to sign Samuel Chukwueze, the Nigerian forward who has been performing well in England, on a permanent deal. If that happens, Milan would receive as much as €30 million.
