Francesco Camarda has remained in Lecce despite his shoulder injury and is set to finish the season in Salento before returning to AC Milan.
At the end of the season, Matteo Moretto reports in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, there will be a meeting between the parties to determine the young striker’s future.
“Camarda is still in Lecce. He has been a bit unlucky with the shoulder injury. In January there was a possibility that Camarda would actually return to AC Milan, but purely for injury management reasons rather than for a role in the first team. After some back and forth, and with performance related bonuses also involved, the financial situation between AC Milan and Lecce was not so easy to resolve in January, so Camarda ended up staying in Lecce. The two sides reached an agreement regarding the management of the injury.
Camarda to return to AC Milan in the summer?
"The update I can give you today is that Camarda will return to AC Milan at the end of the season and the parties will sit down to understand what kind of path to take. AC Milan will assess several options, while the player will focus above all on what he feels is the best route for his development. There is a desire to continue along a certain path, with more and more playing time, perhaps in Serie A. It will be necessary to see whether AC Milan will consider loan offers or even a permanent transfer. Keep an eye on the Camarda situation. In May the parties will meet and decide which direction to take," said Moretto.
