The Tuttosport newspaper, in this morning's print edition, ran the following headline regarding AC Milan's transfer market:
“It’s a derby for Leon Goretzka, but Inter have moved ahead”
In fact, the Rossoneri club managers have had their eyes on Leon Goretzka, a midfielder whose contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire in June 2026 and who will certainly leave the German club this summer. However, Inter Milan are also interested in the player, so in the coming weeks a transfer derby could break out for the Bavarians’ midfielder.
Napoli also appeared to be in the race for Goretzka, but have now stepped aside. Milan and Inter, on the other hand, must be very careful of competition from the Premier League. Before making a decisive move, the Rossoneri would like to be certain of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, and so the Nerazzurri could try to act first.
