Corinthians has asked for about 133 million reais, around 22 million euros, for midfielder André. Negotiations with Milan are still ongoing, while the Italian club is assessing its next moves, ESPN Brasil reports.
During a new meeting to determine the player’s future, Corinthians reiterated that it does not intend to sell him for the figures previously agreed with Milan. According to ESPN, the Brazilian management now expects a higher offer in order to continue the negotiation, about 22 million euros. President Osmar Stabile, at the forefront of the talks, rejected the total proposal of 17 million euros, for 70 percent of the economic rights to the player’s registration, though without definitively closing the door to an agreement. The club therefore remains waiting for an official new step from the Rossoneri.
At the moment all options are on the table. Milan is assessing internally whether to withdraw from the race, submit a new offer or even turn to FIFA, relying on the documents already exchanged between the parties, in an attempt to enforce the initial agreement. For his part, André remains intent on moving to Milan. He has already reached a verbal agreement with the Italian club on a five year contract until June 2031. He has however made it clear that he will not push for his own transfer and hopes that the parties will find a shared solution.
