After the victory in the Derby against Inter, the figure of Massimiliano Allegri has been further (and rightly) celebrated within the Rossoneri camp and not only for what he has shown this season with Milan, which has been brought back to fighting for the positions that matter in Italy after a season that ended in eighth place in the standings.
Also speaking about the Rossoneri coach’s season was the transfer-market expert Alfredo Pedullà in his Editorial published on the Sportitalia website, the broadcaster for which he is a regular pundit.
Alfredo Pedullà on Allegri’s push to get Rabiot:
"Having rediscovered Milan, Max had the humility to start again from scratch, without particular demands and accepting the club’s policy (Furlani a single man in charge, the first and the last to have a say on any decision). If they were to ask me ‘but on which transfer operation was Allegri decisive?’, I would have no doubt in answering: Rabiot. Do you remember that summer night last August with the unexpected defeat in Milan’s league opener against Cremonese? The day after, Allegri shows up at headquarters and says, without beating around the bush, that Rabiot would be a decisive step to improve things. They sign him for him, perhaps because they were terrified by that traumatic impact. But from that moment Allegri no longer influences the strategies, even though on the pitch things go very well and the 60 points won are the most faithful testimony to that."
