Massimiliano Allegri is starting again, once more, with Rafa Leão. The relationship between the two has always been based on mutual respect and admiration, with Max eager to instill in Rafa that sense of belonging that may have been missing in the last and previous season. Leão against Lazio is a sweet combination for the Rossoneri fans. From the goals at San Siro in the Scudetto-winning year (both in the league and in the 4–0 Round of 16 Coppa Italia match) to the most recent goal in the first half of the season (on November 29). The Portuguese forward has often found the net against the Biancocelesti.

Impressive goal average for Leao against Lazio:
Leão is ready to lead the attack of the 'Diavolo' once again on Sunday evening at the Olimpico against Lazio. Alongside him will be Christian Pulisic, who has not scored since December 28. Leão, however, has continued to score, including recently. Against Lazio, Rafa has scored at least three goals and provided three assists in Serie A (3+4). More specifically, the Rossoneri number ten has been involved in five goals in his last five league appearances against Lazio (two goals and three assists). His latest goal against the Biancocelesti came in the first half of the season (Milan–Lazio 1–0 on November 29), as pointed out via Milan News.
Season statistics
Leão is continuing his strong personal season. Despite a very troublesome groin injury (pubalgia), Rafa has scored 10 goals so far this season, along with two assists. It is still a positive return that could grow and improve further in the delicate and important final stretch of the season for Milan. With the World Cup in the background, it will also be important for Rafa to keep scoring and regain full fitness in order to secure his place in the Portuguese national team.
