The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport headlines this morning:
"Allegri fires up Milan: win at the Maradona to put pressure on Chivu.”
In this round of the league, Milan have clawed back two points from Inter, who now have “only” a six-point lead. The comeback remains very difficult, but at Milanello they at least want to try.
After the break, a big match is scheduled away against Napoli, another team still dreaming of the Scudetto (Conte's side are just one point behind Milan, and therefore seven behind Inter). Winning at the Maradona would mean putting even more pressure on Inter.
Meanwhile, Max Allegri has already begun planning Milan’s next season together with the club’s management: during a meeting a few days ago with CEO Furlani, sporting director Tare, and Ibrahimović, it emerged that the club’s direction is not to focus solely on promising young players, but also to satisfy the coach by signing at least three experienced players capable of immediately raising the level of the Rossoneri squad.
